Dedicated to the memory of Martin Bicker

I would like to take time to remember my dad,

Martin Bicker aka Biscuit / Elvis / Mr Postman / Bert / Penfold / The Minion

For all the good times, laughter, stories and long old jokes (that would take him at least half hour to get to the punch line, it was all about that build up) that was shared.

He was the most caring, loveable, friendliest and proudest man. He would do anything to put a smile on someone else’s face. Whenever he would enter a room you knew he would brighten your day and there would be lots of laughter that would follow.

I will keep him alive in my head and heart and I would love for you to do the same too!

Thoughts

I was so sad to learn that Martin is no longer with us. He truly was one of the sweetest, funniest, and most caring people I’ve ever known. We worked together for a couple of years in a warehouse back in the mid 90s when I was still a teenager. Martin was also the delivery driver and would spend much of the time out on the road. The place was always so much brighter when he returned. He had that ability to instantly lighten the mood, and would launch into one of his brilliant little comedy routines if he thought anyone needed a lift, even if he wasn’t in the greatest mood himself. He seemed to genuinely care about how others were feeling. And I can remember so well how lovingly he would speak about Natalie. You could really tell what an incredible father he was. I’ve often thought of him over the years. Knowing how much I loved music, he once made for me an a compilation tape of extremely cool rock and roll classics that I’ll always cherish. A few years down the line I went on to work in the music industry and some of Martin’s favourites were played in venues and on tour buses all over the world. When I organised my very first music event it was the opening track on that compilation that kicked off the night - It Will Stand by The Showmen. I’ve always carried Martin in my heart, and will continue to do so. What a special man. All love and condolences to Natalie and the family. “It'll be here for ever and ever Ain't gonna fade Never, no never”

I am shocked and very sad to have just found out the news of Martin's passing 😢 Martin, you were one of the funniest people I've ever known, I will always remember your Norman Wisdom impression, still makes me smile when I think of it. I hope you're reunited with Paul and Peter and picking out a few winners between you. Thanks for the fun times we had over the years. Rest in Peace Martin, I will miss you. Sending my love to your family xx Res
